Description
Flax may be new to the generation born after the second world war but its known history is very old and its use is probably much older.
Flax was traditionally grown both for its fibre, which was woven into linen cloth, and of its seed, which provided omega 3 rich oils as well as other nutrients and mucilage fibre for normalising gastro-intestinal function.
Flax oil is the richest source of omega 3 in an edible oil. Nature's Own flax oil capsules contain cold pressed flax oil in a vegetarian capsule. Each capsule contains 500mg flax oil.
Ingredients
Whilst we endeavour to use MINIMUM excipients in our products it is still necessary for us to use inert flow agents in some of our fomulae - mainly the tablets. The ingredients used are:magnesium stearate and stearic acid and zein is used as a coating. All of these are non-allergic and inert and are only used in micro quantities.
Our powder formulae are generally free from excipients as are many of our encapsulated formulae.
